I understand that I am giving a non-refundable booking deposit, which will be applied towards my balance. If the event cannot be held on said date, this deposit can be put toward a future date. You will have 1 month from the cancellation date to transfer your deposit.
Renter must provide written notice. Booking Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE unless cancellation is due to a natural disaster or an event beyond the control of the building.
Renter shall comply with all laws, maintain guest capacity limits, and use the Venue only for the agreed purpose.
Alcohol and Food Alcohol service requires proper permits and compliance with Louisiana laws. Renters can choose their caterer of choice. The Renter acknowledges that attendance at the event and the decision to consume alcohol are entirely voluntary and that they are of legal drinking age. Any and all liabilities arising from the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises are the responsibility of the renter(s). Clients should obtain a special event permit and provide a copy to the Starlight Event Center IF SELLING ALCOHOL. NO FOOD AND GREASE SHOULD BE PUT IN THE SINK. IF YOU DO AND A PLUMBER IS NEEDED, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ASSOCIATED COSTS
Renter must remove all decorations. To book the venue, a cleaning fee deposit of $125.00 is required. This fee is separate from the initial deposit, as this fee is refundable. To receive a full refund of the $125.00 cleaning fee, clients must complete the following: ● Collect and return all tables and chairs to their rightful place. ● Collect all trash (including outdoors and bathrooms). Throw all trash into the dumpster or exterior trashcan(s). ● Trash must be picked up inside and outside, including cigarettes. There is a cigarette dispenser provided and restore the Venue to its original condition. The cleaning fee deposit will be retained for noncompliance. ● Please remove all food and beverages from the refrigerator, microwave, bar area, and stove.
●No glue, tape, vinyl flooring, glitter, or any type of material that can damage the walls or floors is allowed. Damages are the responsibility of the client renting the establishment
The Renter acknowledges that uniform security must be provided at events with over 100 guests and if alcohol is served to ensure the safety of eventgoers. Security contact information must be provided before the event. No Guest shall be permitted on the premises until security arrives. NO EXCEPTIONS. The security rate is $50/hr. There is a minimum of 4 hours. (subject to change)
Events must comply with local noise ordinances. The Starlight Event Center reserves the right to shut down music or terminate the event if noise complaints are reported and cannot be resolved. Security cameras and emergency exits must not be obstructed.
I have reviewed the inventory, which is in good condition, and agree to return all inventory in good condition. If items are not returned or returned damaged, renter(s) are responsible for replacement cost, payable upon conclusion of the event.
The Renter acknowledges that failure to comply with this agreement may result in cancellation or termination of the event. The renter agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Starlight Event Center, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, and damages to persons, property, fines, costs, and legal expenses arising from the use of the facility. The Starlight Event Center is not liable for any injuries caused on the property. The Renter acknowledges that they have received and accepted all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement and abide by all The Starlight event policies and Vermilion Parish ordinances. Additional Information · Absolutely no loitering outside during the event. This will result in the termination of your event with no refunds. · When the event has ended, everyone must vacate the premises unless you are cleaning up. · The final 30 minutes are shut down and clean-up time. No sitting on the back of the metal benches. · Smoking is permitted ONLY in designated areas and must be 25 feet from any entrance. · Guests should not have loud music from personal vehicles outside so that neighbors’ homes and businesses are not disturbed. · No loitering in the parking lot · Candles are NOT PERMITTED. Battery-powered candles should be used. · No running inside the building. Insurance Event Liability Insurance may be required. 12. Force Majeure Neither party is liable for events beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters). 13. Governing Law The laws of the State of Louisiana govern this Agreement. 14. Entire Agreement This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
